Why teams look for a Notion alternative
Notion is loved for its flexibility: nested pages, databases with table, board and calendar views, and shared workspaces. Teams still go looking for something else, usually for one of these reasons.
- Per-seat pricing adds up. On the Notion pricing page, Plus is $10 and Business is $20 per seat per month billed yearly ($12 and $24 billed monthly). Every new teammate raises the bill.
- The free plan is built for individuals. For two or more members, Free gives a limited block trial, uploads up to 5 MB and 7 days of page history.
- Teams need one part, not everything. Some need a clean wiki, others need tasks and boards. A focused tool is often simpler to keep tidy.
- Tasks arrive in chats. When clients and colleagues write in Telegram and someone copies that into a Notion database by hand, the task list always lags behind the conversation.
What to check in a Notion alternative
- What is actually moving. A knowledge base, databases, team tasks or all of it. This is the main criterion.
- Import from Notion. Whether there is one, what it keeps (nested pages, images, attachments, databases) and what you will fix by hand.
- Editor and structure. Block editor, version history, search, permissions and public sharing.
- How pricing works. Per seat or user, per workspace or flat tiers, and what the free plan or trial includes.
- Where tasks come from. If most work starts in Telegram, check how a task gets into the tool and whether the chat context stays with it.

The alternatives in detail
Notion today: the baseline
For reference: the Notion pricing page lists Free, Plus, Business and Enterprise. Plus is $10 per seat per month billed yearly and adds 30 days of page history and uploads up to 5 GB. Business is $20 and adds Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes, SAML SSO, private teamspaces and 90 days of history. Guests are free on every plan, and yearly billing saves up to 20%.
ClickUp: docs inside project management
ClickUp positions itself directly against Notion. Its comparison page puts it as “Notion writes down work. ClickUp helps you get it done.” Docs and wikis live next to tasks, boards, calendars, sprints and time tracking, so it suits teams whose Notion was mostly a project tracker.
The ClickUp pricing page lists Free Forever with 60 MB of storage, unlimited free members and collaborative docs. Core is $9 and Business is $17 per user per month billed yearly ($12 and $25 billed monthly), Enterprise is custom. We did not find a Notion import on the pages we checked, so look it up in the ClickUp help center before you commit.
Slite: a knowledge base with AI search
Slite covers the wiki part of Notion. Its focus is finding answers: AI search across docs, a doc verification workflow so pages do not go stale, plus MCP and API access. On its Notion comparison page, Slite says docs move over from Notion with self-serve import tools.
On the pricing page, Basic is $10 and Pro is $20 per user per month billed yearly, Enterprise is custom. There is a 14-day free trial of Basic and Pro with no credit card. After the trial, a paid plan is needed to keep using Slite.
Outline: a fast wiki you can self-host
Outline is a team knowledge base and wiki that you can use in the cloud or host on your own servers. Its Notion integration lets you connect a Notion account, choose pages and import them as documents, including nested pages, images and attachments, while keeping the structure.
Cloud pricing on the pricing page is a flat price per team size: Starter $10 per month for 1 to 10 members, $79 for 11 to 100, $249 for 101 to 200, with annual pricing available. Self-hosted, the Community Edition is free (limited, no support), and paid self-hosted plans start at $4 per user per month billed annually with a 10-user minimum.
Tydy: when you tracked tasks in Notion but work arrives in Telegram
To be clear upfront: Tydy is not a Notion alternative for documents. It has no document editor and no wiki, and our comparison page says so. Guides, processes and notes belong in Slite, Outline or another wiki.
Tydy covers a different part. Many teams kept a task database in Notion and copied into it what clients and colleagues wrote in Telegram. Tydy connects to a work group and proposes creating or updating tasks from messages, screenshots and voice notes. Uncertain changes wait for a human in the AI Inbox. Each task keeps its conversation: Telegram messages, team replies, files, voice transcripts and internal notes the client never sees. Tasks live on a Kanban board with a calendar by due date and an overdue report, and the bot reminds the assignee about deadlines in a Telegram DM.
Pricing is per workspace, not per member: Free 0 ₽ (up to 2 members, 3 projects), Pro 990 ₽ per month (up to 5 members), Team 2,990 ₽ per month (up to 15 members). Yearly billing saves 17%, payment in RUB via YooKassa.
What a team of 8 pays per month
A small team of 8, using the lowest fitting plan from the official pages as of 11/04/2026.
| Tool | Fitting plan | Per month for 8 people |
|---|---|---|
| Notion | Plus, yearly (monthly $96) | $80 |
| ClickUp | Core, yearly | $72 |
| Slite | Basic, yearly | $80 |
| Outline | Cloud Starter, 1 to 10 members | $10 |
| Tydy | Team (Pro is up to 5 members) | 2,990 ₽ per workspace |
Compare more than the total. Slite and Outline are about docs, ClickUp about projects with docs, Tydy only about tasks. With per-member pricing, each new hire raises the bill, while Outline and Tydy price by team size or workspace.
How to move off Notion
- Sort the content. Separate the knowledge base from tasks and personal notes. Outdated pages are better left behind.
- Use the import or an export. Outline and Slite offer an import from Notion. Otherwise, export the workspace from Notion and keep the archive.
- Migrate one section first. Check nested pages, tables, dates, links and attachments before moving everything.
- Decide how tasks get into the new tool. By hand, through a form, from email or straight from the work chat.
- Set a cutover date. From that day, new docs and tasks are created only in the new tool.
Which Notion alternative to choose
- You want docs and projects in one place. ClickUp, with docs next to tasks, boards and time tracking.
- You want a clean wiki that people actually trust. Slite, with AI search and doc verification.
- You want a fast wiki or need to self-host. Outline, with a Notion import and a free Community Edition.
- You tracked tasks in Notion and the work arrives in Telegram. Tydy for tasks plus any tool above for docs.
If your Notion was mostly a task board, see our guides to Trello alternatives and Kanban boards for teams. Free options are covered in free task trackers for teams, and team tasks in a messenger in tasks in Telegram.
